Content Criteria

There are a number of broadly accepted criteria that one can use for evaluating web resources. These include:

• Relevance
• Comprehensiveness (most useful with respect to the totality of content)
• Uniqueness (compelling?)
• Currency (including timeliness)
• Quality (of writing)
• Linking (dynamics, maintenance)

The last three of these can be generally evaluated without regard to the audience. However, the first three require knowing the targeted audience and basing one's judgments on that.
